tense को बदलने का नियम जब said to होगा तो told में बदल‌ जायेगा।

present indefinite बदलेगा past indefinite में

उसने मुझसे कहा ,तुम छोटी मोटी बातों पर मेरा अपमान करते हो।

1. she said to me ,”you displume me over trifle issues .”

मैंने उनसे कहा तुम कानुन को चकमा देने के लिए तुमहारा धिनौना अपराध छिपाते हो

2.i said to them ,” you conceal your heinous crime to bluff the law.”

present continuos बदलेगा past continuous में

तुम उससे कहा तुम तुम्हारे बुढ़े मां बाप की सेवा कर रहे हो।

1.you said to her,”you are reposing your senile parents .”

उसने उससे कहा वह पढ़ाई में मुझे पछाड़ रहा है

2.he said to him,”he is surpassing me in studies .”

present perfect बदलेगा past perfect में

तुमने उन्हें कहा तुमने एक कुख्यात अपराधी को रिहा कर दिया है

1.you said to them “you have exculpated a notorious criminal.

उसने हमसे कहा तुमने मेरा जुर्म कबुल‌ करने के लिए मुझसे कड़ी पुछताछ की है

2.she said to us ,”you have grilled me to confess my guilt ,”

present perfect continuous बदलेगा past perfect continuous में

उसने उनसे कहा मैं सोची समझी गयी हत्या से झुठी गवाही दे रहा हु।

he said to them ,” i have been perjuring since since cold blooded murder.”

तुमने उनसे कहा मैं मेरी असफलता से मारा मारा फिर रहा हु।

2.you said to them ,”i have been moving pillar to post since my failure”.

तुमने हमसे कहा हमने उनको बेरहमी से मारा था

1.you said to us,”we assaulted them ruthlessly.”

मैंने उनसे कहा उसने कल रात अपनी कलाई काट ली थी

2.i said to him,”she slitted her wrist last night.”

past continuous बदलेगा past perfect में

उसने मुझसे कहा तुम तुम्हारी मोटी किताबों को फ़ाड़ रहे थे
1.she said to me,”you were tearing your tomes.

उन्होंने उससे कहा वह अपनी पागलपन की दशा में तुम्हारे मकान को गिरा रहा था

2.they said to him,”he was demolishing your house in his lunatic condition”.
